Camp ‘Can’ Do Volunteer Opportunities

Part-Time Camp Positions

Day-Helpers are assigned by camp day (7/14, 7/15, 7/16, 7/17, 7/18) and support camp activities by setting up, participating, and cleaning up activities. Day-Helpers typically arrive during breakfast and stay until late afternoon. However, Day-Helpers can arrive and depart camp based on their availability.

Day-Helper Requirements:

  1. Camp Staff Application (online)

  2. Camp Participation Agreement (online)

  3. Camp Director Interview (in person, virtual, or phone)

  4. Sexual Abuse Awareness Training (online)

  5. Background Check

  6. Pre-Camp Orientation (online, new staff only)

Transporters provide rides to camper(s) to/from camp/home on the first day (Monday, 7/14/25) and/or the last day (Friday, 7/18/25) of camp. Transporters are requested by the Camp Director based on camper transportation needs. Requires a valid drivers license.

Transporter Requirements:

  1. Transporter application (online)

  2. Valid driver’s license

  3. Availability on Monday, 7/14/25 and/or Friday, 7/18/25 to pick-up and drop-off campers

  4. Camper health check training (online)

  5. Background check

Full-Time Camp Positions

All full-time camp positions are required to arrive at camp Sunday, 7/13/25, by 2:00pm for training and orientation and stay until camper check-out is complete on Friday, 7/18/25, at approximately 11:30am.

The number of full-time positions available is related to the number of campers each year. Full-time positions will be approved by the Camp Director as camper applications are received. Some full-time positions may receive “stand-by approval” to attend camp based on the current number of campers. If additional campers are added, those in “stand-by approval” positions will be approved to attend camp.


Counselors supervise 1-3 campers and stay in a cabin with other counselors and campers. Counselors participate alongside their camper(s) during camp activities. Counselors are supervising campers at all times during camp.

Logistics Staff assist in moving, preparing, and cleaning up camp activities and supplies.

Medical Staff provide medical care and supervision to campers and staff. 

Activities Staff plan, prepare, lead, and clean up activities for campers.
